Award Description

The Hairstylist of the Year Award honors an exceptional emerging textured hairstylist who demonstrates creativity, expertise, and a dedication to promoting hair health.

Whether through protective styles, silk presses, trichology services or session styling, the winner will have significantly impacted the textured hair community by helping clients embrace and care for their natural textures.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Hairstylist of the Year Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a practicing professional hairstylist specialising in textured hair styling & treatments.
• Must have at least two years of experience in textured hairstyling.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to promoting hair health, creativity, and innovation.

Review and Selection Process

Initial Review:

A judging panel of esteemed hairstylists will evaluate all applications based on creativity, skill, and dedication to natural hair health.

Winner Announcement:

The winner of the Hairstylist of the Year will be announced at the Gala. Nominees will receive discounted tickets for Tress Gala, where the winner will receive a trophy and be featured across Tressly platforms and media outlets.
